Ingredients

  • Chicken breast
  • Russet potatoes OR baby gold potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Salt, pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and dried parsley
  • Minced garlic
  • Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan Sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese

Make Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Potatoes

First, to make this easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Potato crockpot meal start by getting out your crockpot and spraying it with cooking spray

Then, scrub and rinse off about 5 medium sized russet potatoes or to make it even easier you can use one bag of baby potatoes cut into quarters.

If using russet potatoes chop the potatoes into small cubes. It is important to try to make sure the potatoes are all about the same size, so that they cook evenly in the crockpot.

Next, add 2 tbsp of olive oil to the potatoes and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. I don’t use exact measurements for this part.

After that, add 2 tbsp of minced garlic to the potatoes and give everything a good stir.

Next, add the cubed chicken on top of the potatoes and season with salt, pepper, onion powder, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning.

Next, I add the Parmesan Garlic Sauce from Buffalo Wild Wings. Your favorite brand of Garlic Parmesan Sauce is fine too!

I like to just add enough of the sauce to cover the chicken. You can always add more of the sauce after the meal is cooked if needed. This sauce can get spicy if you add too much.

The chicken and potatoes are going to cook on low for about 6 hours or until the chicken reaches at least 165 degrees and the potatoes are tender. This can also cook on high for about 4 hours.

Finally, once the potatoes are tender and the chicken is fully cooked I like to stir everything together and top it with some shredded mozzarella cheese.

I let the crockpot meal sit for about 10-15 minutes until all the cheese is melted!

Serve Crockpot Parmesan Garlic Chicken and Potatoes

Once the cheese is melted, it’s time to eat! Top the dish with some dried parsley and Parmesan cheese.

I like serving this recipe with a salad, roasted broccoli, or some green beans. This recipe is also good topped with a little bit of ranch dressing.

You will love this recipe because it’s an easy crockpot meal, delicious, and it’s filling! I hope you enjoy this Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Potato meal as much as my family does!

We made this tonight! It was delicious! I’m a pretty decent cook, always looking for variety! I’m always making things that I think of tweaks to improve it. I felt this was perfect!

    1. What about adding fresh green beans to the top of the chicken and cook the same time? Think the green beans would turn out good?

      1. The last crock pot recipe I did with green beans had me add them and hour before it was done, 2 hours if you like them soft (: hope that helps!

    1. I’m trying it now. I’ll let you know. I pre cooked the potatoes some in the air fryer and chopped the chicken to hopefully cook faster. Added sauce and in the oven for 20-25min at 350

  2. I did not pay attention to the just enough to cover the chicken and boy is it spicy garlic. If it doesnt look like enough trust the process because it’s sure is enough lol

    1. I use the Kroger brand of this sauce because it’s less spicy than the BWW kind. It’s perfect for my family. Try other brands to see what works for you.

      1. I love the Kroger brand garlic parmesan sauce too, but they rarely ever have it at my local Kroger. I guess it’s a hot ticket item. 😂

  3. Making this right now. It reminds me of the beginning a deconstructed southwest potato skin I make.

I made a few additions and small tweaks. Seasoned my chicken in chipotle seasoning. Cooked everything the same. But at the end. I added. Frozen corn. Cooked crumbled bacon and cheddar cheese. After plated. Drizzled more garlic parm sauce and a sweet BBQ sauce on top. HEAVEN!!

Made this tonight, cubed the chicken along with dicing the potatoes. In my slow cooker it was done after 3 and a half hours. I added fresh baby spinach at the end to get in my greens. Will make again.

This is the first recipe I saw on Cooking in the Midwest Facebook page and first one I tried. One of my absolute favorite recipes Luke has ever posted. Thanks Luke for making this working momma of 4’s suppers easier with all your delicious recipes!

  6. Mine was definitely done after 4 hours. I served mine with cauliflower rice and drizzled some of the juices leftover in the crockpot over it. It was very yummy!

I’ve made this on the stove before and it was amazing but in the crockpot it was almost soup?? Any ideas on what I did wrong .

      1. I just made this recipe and mine came out soupy as well! Followed the recipe to a tee… not sure what happened. Definitely does not look as delicious as the photo!

Very tasty. Used Praise parmesan and garlic sauce (Australia), and threw in half a tub of cream cheese to make it more saucy. Five hours on low would be better, as it started to catch on the pot

I made this today and it was very, very good! So easy and so yummy. I wondered if it would be enough sauce but it was perfect. The chicken was so tender and the flavor was just right. Thank you for a great recipe.

This was great. I used about a pound and a half of chicken and the whole bottle of sauce. Probably could have added fresh or frozen green beans to the crockpot, but I just served our veggies on the side. Will definitely make this again, and I bet it would be good with pork or beef as well.

I made this tonight and even my picky grands loved it! I used cheddar in place of mozzarella (which is all I had on hand), and absolutely will be making this again. Thanks so much for the recipe

Made this tonight for dinner. I was amazing! I pan fried my potatoes to give a little extra flavor before adding everything into the crockpot. I also used just a little red pepper flakes. It was SO GOOD! Definitely going into the regular rotation.

  12. putting this in the freezer for meal prep, how long do you think it will be good for and will it be ok to thaw in fridge the day before eating?
