This Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Dip is an easy appetizer to make and so good!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooked chicken shredded
  • 1/2 tsp each salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp each garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo Wild Wings Medium Sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions chopped

Instructions

  • Spray a slow cooker with cooking spray. Add cooked and shredded chicken to a crockpot. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, Onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  • Add one block of cream cheese, 1/2 cup Buffalo Wild Wings Medium Sauce, and the ranch dressing.
  • Finally, add shredded cheddar cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese (save a little bit of the shredded cheese for topping the dip).
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. Stir occasionally.
  • Top with the saved cheese, green onions, and a little drizzle of Medium sauce. Serve with tortilla chips, pretzels, or crackers.

  • Rotisserie chicken works well for this recipe.
  • Canned chicken can also be used in buffalo chicken dip. I recommend rinsing the canned chicken well before adding it to your slow cooker.
  • I like Buffalo Wild Wing's Medium sauce, but you can use any buffalo sauce you'd like. Use a mild buffalo sauce for less heat.
  • Cheddar, Colby Jack, Mozzarella, and Monterey Jack cheeses all work well in buffalo chicken dip!
  • If your dip gets too thick in the crockpot you can add a splash of milk or chicken broth.
  • Blue cheese dressing can be used in place of the ranch dressing, and you could even add some blue cheese crumbles to the top if you prefer that over ranch.
  • If you want to make this recipe in a skillet on the stove or in a baking dish in the oven that will work too!
