Equipment

  • 1 Crockpot

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp each of onion powder and Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 24 oz jar Marinara Sauce
  • 15 oz jar Alfredo Sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 16 oz pasta
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • Dried parsley

Instructions

  • Spray a crockpot with cooking spray. Add one pound of chicken breasts. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Add 1 tbsp of minced garlic, marinara sauce, and Alfredo sauce.
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Shred or cube up the chicken and add it back to the crockpot. Stir in one cup of mozzarella cheese.
  • Boil 16 oz of pasta according to the directions on the box. Drain pasta and add to the crockpot. Stir well and top with shredded Parmesan cheese and dried parsley.

Notes

  • I prefer to shred my own mozzarella and Parmesan cheese from blocks for a creamier consistency.
  • Freshly minced garlic or jarred garlic can be used for this recipe.
  • I love using the Cellentani pasta, but you can use 16 oz of any pasta you already have in your pantry!
  • A big handful of fresh spinach could be added to the crockpot when you add the mozzarella cheese if you'd like to add a veggie!
  • Serve with bread sticks or garlic bread and a salad.
  • I keep the seasonings on this pasta pretty simple because that's how my kids like it! You can add any extra seasonings you prefer.
