Servings: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp each onion powder and Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 TBSP minced garlic
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 12 pack Kings Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • Mozzarella slices
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • French’s crispy onions
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp each garlic powder and parsley

Instructions

  • Add chicken breast to a crockpot. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Add minced garlic and 2 cups of your favorite marinara/pasta sauce.
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Shred the chicken once it is fully cooked.
  • Slice open sweet rolls and add sliced mozzarella cheese as the bottom layer. Top with some of the shredded chicken (I didn’t quite use all of the chicken). Top with a little bit of shredded mozzarella cheese and a couple of handfuls of crispy fried onions. Place the tops of the rolls on.
  • Melt 4 tbsp of butter and stir in garlic powder and dried parsley. Brush this mixture all of the tops of the sandwiches.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread is starting to get a little toasted. Enjoy!
