Chopped Cheeseburger Wraps

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Course: Dinner
Cuisine: American
Keyword: Chopped Cheeseburger Wraps, Ground beef Wraps
Servings: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 4 (1/2 lb) burger patties
  • Burger seasoning (Any store-bought blend or salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika)
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 1 large head of romaine lettuce
  • 1 red onion sliced
  • 12 dill pickles
  • 5 pieces of cooked bacon
  • Homemade Burger Sauce 1/2 cup mayo, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/8 cup mustard, 1 TBSP sweet relish
  • 4 Large flour tortillas

Instructions

  • You will need bacon for this recipe. If you don't have bacon leftover from breakfast, cook 5 pieces of bacon however you like! To save time you could use bacon bits if you prefer.
  • Season your burger patties on both sides with you favorite burger seasoning. If you don't have a blend season them with some salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika!
  • Heat your propane grill to medium-high heat. Add the seasoned burger patties to the grill and cook for about 8 minutes total. Grill 2 minutes, quarter turn them, let cook for an additional 2 minutes, then flip the burger patties and repeat on the other side.
  • Add American cheese slices to the burgers and once they are fully cooked remove them from the grill and set aside.
  • While the burgers are cooking, mix together mayo, ketchup, mustard, and sweet relish for the homemade burger sauce.
  • Next, add romaine lettuce, a sliced red onion, dill pickles, and some bacon to a large cutting board. Chop all of the ingredients together. Add the burger patties and give them a rough chop.
  • Build the cheeseburger wraps by adding a scoop of the lettuce mixture with a chopped burger patty. Add some homemade burger sauce and roll the wrap up tightly. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can make your own burger patties, but to keep the recipe even easier buy the pre-made 1/2 lb burger patties.
  • Any burger seasoning will work for this recipe! If you don't have a specific burger seasoning in your pantry you could use salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika on the burgers.
  • I love American cheese on burgers, but you could use cheddar cheese, Colby Jack cheese, or even Pepper Jack for some spice.
  • Chopping the lettuce, red onions, pickles, and bacon helps ensure there's a little bit of everything in each bite. You could assemble the wraps without chopping everything up, but I like the flavors and textures from chopping the ingredients.
  • Customize these ground beef wraps with any of your favorite burger toppings.
  • If you struggle to wrap the burritos, warm up the tortillas first to help keep them from tearing.
  • This recipe makes four large ground beef wraps.
