Make Chopped Cheeseburger Wraps
To start making this easy weeknight dinner, gather all of your ingredients.
You will need some bacon for this recipe. If you don’t have any leftover from breakfast cook at least 5 peices of bacon however you like! You could use bacon bits if you don’t want to make bacon.
Next, heat your propane grill to medium-high heat.
Season four 1/2 lb burger patties with your favorite burger seasoning. I’ve been using Burger Royale from Fire and Smoke Society.
If you don’t already have a great burger seasoning in your pantry, you could season the burgers with some salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika instead.

Add the seasoned burger patties to the grill and cook for about 8 minutes total.
Grill the burgers for 2 minutes, quarter turn them, let cook for an additional 2 minutes, then flip the burger patties and repeat on the other side.
Add American cheese to the burgers and once they are fully cooked remove them from the grill and set aside.

While the burgers are cooking, mix together mayo, ketchup, mustard, and sweet relish for the homemade burger sauce.
Next, add romaine lettuce, a sliced red onion, dill pickles, and some bacon to a large cutting board. Chop all of the ingredients together.

Chopping the lettuce, red onions, pickles, and bacon helps ensure there’s a little bit of everything in each bite.
You could assemble the wraps without chopping everything up, but from testing the recipe I like the flavors and textures from chopping the ingredients.
Add the burger patties and give them a rough chop.
I like to keep the burgers in larger pieces, but you can chop everything into smaller pieces if you prefer that.

Build the cheeseburger wraps by adding a scoop of the lettuce mixture with a chopped burger patty.
Add some homemade burger sauce and roll the wrap up tightly.
If you struggle to wrap the burritos, warm up the tortillas first to help keep them from tearing.

No Grill? No Problem!
If you don’t have a propane grill or don’t want to cook the burgers outside, you could easily cook the burgers in a large skillet on the stove over medium-high heat.
I’d cook them in a cast iron skillet if you have one.
While I love the flavors and char a grill gives the burgers, if you are cooking the ground beef inside on the stove you could even just brown the ground beef and not worry about making burger patties to keep the recipe even easier!
Serve Cheeseburger Wraps
Once all of the cheeseburger wraps are made, it’s time to eat! If you wanted to quickly toast the tortillas you could, but we like them with the tortillas soft for this recipe.
I served cheeseburger wraps with some fries, but they would also be good with loaded potato salad, chips, or a creamy Italian pasta salad.

You will love this recipe because they are an easy dinner, delicious, and can be customized with any of your favorite burger toppings!
