Equipment

  • 1 Stove/Oven

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder and paprika
  • 1 TBSP minced garlic
  • 1-2 TBSP Worcestershire
  • 1 8 oz can of tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup
  • 1 TBSP of mustard
  • 2 TBSP of bbq sauce
  • 12 pack King’s Hawaiian Sweet Slider Rolls
  • American Cheese slices
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • French’s crispy fried onions
  • 4 TBSP butter
  • 1 tsp each of garlic powder and onion powder
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium high heat and add all seasonings.
  • Once the beef is browned, be sure to drain the grease.
  • Add minced garlic, Worcestershire, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, and bbq sauce.
  • Stir well and let simmer on low.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and slice the Hawaiian rolls in half with a large sharp knife.
  • Place the bottoms of the rolls on a sheet pan or baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Add a layer of American cheese, the sloppy joe mixture, shredded cheddar cheese, and finish by topping it with the crispy fried onions.
  • Place the tops of the Hawaiian Rolls on top of the onions and melt 4 TBSP of butter.
  • Stir in the garlic powder and onion powder with the melted butter.
  • Use a brush to brush on the butter mixture on top of the Hawaiian rolls. I didn’t quite use all of the butter mixture.
  • Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
  • Slice sliders and serve!
  • Enjoy!
