Garlic Parmesan Chicken Alfredo
Garlic Parmesan Chicken Alfredo is an easy and delicious dinner recipe that my family loves. We love Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Alfredo so to put them both together just makes sense! This one seems fancy and complicated, but it’s actually really easy to make. This Garlic Parmesan Chicken Alfredo can be on the table in 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Garlic Parmesan Chicken
- 2 chicken breasts
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika
- 2 TBSP Butter
- Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan Sauce
Fettuccine Alfredo
- 1 stick of butter
- 2 TBSP of minced garlic
- 1 1/4 cups of heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- parsley
- Parmesan Cheese for topping
- 10 ounces Fettuccine
Prep the Garlic Parmesan Chicken Alfredo
To make the Garlic Parmesan Chicken Alfredo start by filling a large pot with water and place that on the stove over high heat. While that is heating up butterfly open two chicken breads and slice those in half to make them thinner.
Season the chicken on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika. I don’t use exact amounts for this part just season them to your liking! By this point your pot of water should be boiling so just drop in the fettuccine. Let that cook according to the instructions on the box.
Cooking the Chicken
Place a large skillet on the stove over medium heat and drop in a couple Tablespoons of butter. Once that has melted carefully place in your chicken. We are not trying to cook the chicken through at this point, just trying to get a nice sear. Sear the chicken for a minute or two on each side and then remove them from the heat.
Next, brush some store bought Garlic Parmesan sauce over the top of each chicken breast. Once they are all coated place them in the air fryer or oven at 400 degrees. Let them cook for about 10 minutes or until the chicken hits an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Making the Alfredo
Once that chicken has made its way into the oven its time to build the sauce. Start by adding the minced garlic to the same pan the chicken was removed from. Cook over medium heat until the garlic becomes fragrant and golden. Then pour in the heavy cream and stir constantly!
Next, we will add in one stick of butter and keep stirring as it melts. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Then all that is left to do is stir in the cheese. I like to use freshly grated Parmesan cheese as I’ve found it melts easier and gives a better texture.
Stir the sauce until the cheese has melted and it reaches the consistency that you like. If you need to, you can add some of the pasta water to thicken the sauce. Just do so in small increments until it’s to your liking.
This is where everything comes together! Strain your Fettuccine and pour that to your sauce stirring it around to coat the pasta. Remove the Garlic Parmesan Chicken from the air fryer and it’s time to eat!
Serve Garlic Parmesan Chicken Alfredo
When serving the Garlic Parmesan Chicken Alfredo place a mound, or mountain of the fettuccine onto your plate. Serve alongside one of those delicious garlic Parmesan chicken breasts. I like to dust Parmesan and dried parsley over the top of each plate. That will convince whoever you’re serving this to that it was very difficult to make!
I served this with some frozen peas, but a salad, roasted broccoli, or zucchini would also be good options!
Tips and Frequently Asked Questions
- Shredding a block of Parmesan cheese yourself rather than using the pre-shredded stuff will help the cheese melt better into the sauce.
- I like using the Buffalo Wild Wing’s brand of Garlic Parmesan Sauce, but you can use your favorite.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, finish cooking the chicken in the oven at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes.
- Always cook chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. I always double check the temp with an internal meat thermometer.
- Serve with a salad, peas, roasted broccoli, roasted zucchini, or green beans!
