Make Taco Bell Nacho Fries
To make this easy copycat Taco Bell Nacho Fries, start by cooking a bag of frozen fries in the air fryer. It’s best to use straight-cut frozen fries for this recipe.
Look for straight-cut, extra crispy, or restaurant style when picking fries for this recipe. My favorite type of fries are these Grown in Idaho Hand cut fries.
These fries are consistent in thickness, crisp really well in the air fryer, and hold the seasoning well.
Through testing this recipe, I have found that it’s best to get your fries really crispy in the air fryer!
Obviously if you don’t have an air fryer you can still make this recipe! Just be sure to get your fries crispy in the oven. No one wants soggy Nacho Fries.
While your fries are cooking, measure out all of your seasonings.
Once the fries are nice and crispy, add the cooked fries to a large bowl. Add 1-2 tbsp of oil and toss the fries around until they are well coated.

Next season the fries with 1/4 tsp cayenne, 1/2 tsp each cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and sugar. Last, add 1 tsp chili powder and paprika.
Once all of the seasonings are added to your bowl, add 1/2 tsp cornstarch. The cornstarch really helps the seasonings all stick to your fries, so if you have some on hand be sure to use it.
Toss the fries in the seasonings until they are all evenly coated.

Serve Nacho Fries
Once your crispy fries are coated in that bold nacho seasoning, it’s time to eat! Serve the fries with your favorite canned nacho cheese. I love using Ricos Nacho cheese, but any cheese sauce will work.
I served these fries with some chipotle ranch chicken quesadillas. The nacho fries are also really good dipped in the homemade chipotle ranch sauce. This meal was a big hit with the family!

You will love this recipe because it’s budget friendly, you can control the spice level for your family, and they are an easy and delicious side for all of your Taco Tuesday dinners.
Any leftovers of these fries reheat well in the air fryer.
