Easy Green Bean Recipe
This Green Bean Recipe is my favorite!
This easy green bean recipe is my absolute favorite way to make them for my family! Once you try this recipe, you won’t go back to your old way of making green beans! The butter, seasonings and bacon really set this recipe apart from others. These green beans make a delicious side for so many different meals! My whole family loves this recipe and my kids even love it! This recipe tastes very similar to your favorite steakhouse’s green beans!
To make these easy and delicious green beans, start by cutting 4 strips of bacon into small pieces and placing them into a skillet. Cook the bacon on medium heat until done. Next, dice 1 onion and add this to the skillet and cook in the bacon fat until the onions are translucent. I then added 4 tablespoons of butter, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of pepper, and a dash of steak seasoning to the skillet. Add 4 cups of green beans to the skillet. If using canned green beans, make sure you drain each can before adding them. Next, pour in 2 cups of chicken broth and reduce heat to a simmer. Cover with a lid and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Once the green beans are finished simmering, they are ready to serve! Scoop a heaping pile onto your plate or in a bowl and enjoy! These green beans will have you coming back for seconds.
