Make Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Potatoes

To start making this easy recipe, prep the potatoes first. I use about 4-5 medium sized russet potatoes for this recipe.

Wash the potatoes, peel them, and cut them up into small cubes. Toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (I don’t use exact measurements for this part). Just make sure the potatoes are coated in oil and seasoning.

potatoes

Cook the potatoes in the air fryer at 400 degrees F for about 25 minutes shaking them around at least a couple times while they cook.

All air fryers cook differently, so check them as they are cooking and cook them a little bit longer if they aren’t quite as crispy as you’d like.

Once the potatoes are about half way through cooking, cut chicken into cubes.

Seasoned Chicken

Cook the chicken in a skillet on medium-high heat with about 2 tbsp of butter. Season the chicken with 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper, 1 tsp each of paprika, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.

Once the chicken is finished cooking add the minced garlic and the Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Sauce. I use just enough sauce to coat the chicken.

Next, add the cooked potatoes to the skillet. Stir everything together well and top with some shredded mozzarella cheese.

Broil this in the oven for just a few minutes to melt the cheese (you could also cover with a lid and let this sit on the stove until cheese melts).

Once the cheese is nice and melted, it’s time to eat! Top with dried parsley and more Parmesan Garlic sauce if needed.

I usually serve my chicken and potato skillets with a salad, but any vegetable your family likes would make an easy side dish. Enjoy!

Tips and Frequently Asked Questions

  • Depending on the size of your potatoes, they may need additional time in the air fryer. Just cook them until they are tender when you stick a fork through them, but crispy.

  • Use freshly minced garlic or jarred minced garlic for this recipe.

  • When seasoning your potatoes, I just eyeball this part. You may add as much as you would like.

  • Grate a block of mozzarella yourself for a creamier melted cheese.

  • If you don’t have an air fryer, the potatoes can be cooked in an oven at 400-425º for about 30 minutes, making sure to stir halfway through.

  • Onions can be added to this dish for extra flavor and a bit of crunch.

  • I really like the Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Sauce for this recipe. It can be spicy if you use too much. I use just enough to coat the chicken.

  1. This was a yummy meal. I left the sauce off so everyone could choose their own. Thanks for the idea. I’ve never made potatoes in the air fryer. They were delicious 😋

    1. Good idea. What sauces did you have to choose from if you don’t mind me asking? Just looking for different ideas. Thank you

Really good but very salty. May leave out salting anything next time since the sauce has a lot on its own.

Just made this and we loved it! We couldn’t find the Buffalo Wild Wings sauce but I found a Ken’s garlic parm dressing and it worked great! Husband says to “keep this recipe.”

This. Was. Delicious. I wouldn’t change one thing. A few things I did differently out of necessity. I don’t have an air fryer so I just roasted the cut up potatoes in the oven. And I used up my Baby Ray’s Garlic Parmesan sauce and then added a little of the BWW brand sauce. BBW is way spicier, which I love, so next time I will only use that. Yum! Thank you for another great recipe, Luke!

  5. We make this about every other month I would say. 🙂 haha It is so good! A suggestion — we find some brands of the Parmesan sauce are spicier than others, we test a little bit of the sauce first and when mixing with the chicken add a little bit of milk to the bottle. Shake it up. Then add that to the chicken mixture. Add Parmesan cheese to the chicken skillet mixture. And it is perfect!!!

  6. I’ve made this 2 times, doubling the recipe both times! I don’t have an air fryer so I use the oven for my potatoes but it comes out just the same I reckon. My husband and our two teenage / man sons devour it. Big hit! Thank you so much!

Do you by any chance know how much calories this is per serving or overall? Absolutely PERFECT dish btw and it’ll be my go to meal moving forward. Thank you!

Did potatoes in air frier.. used cast iron skillet to get chicken done.. added the buffalo parmeshan garlic sauce.. did a stir then added the potatoes and stirred those puppies.. sprinkled the cheese and did the broil.. earlier in the day got a batch of parmeshan crescent rolls made and also had a garden salad.. this dish was very good and will be making again.. thank you Luke

I made this for dinner tonight and it was absolutely delicious! I didn’t have any garlic parm sauce, so I found a copykat recipe and made my own.

This was super tasty. Made my own garlic parm sauce from a recipe I found online – just because I didn’t have a bottle but it was so tasty I may just continue to use it! Definitely printing and keeping this recipe. I do think I may adjust (add bacon and maybe even mushrooms!) but those are just things my family may enjoy.

  9. For anyone who might benefit from a little shortcut (“lower spoons,” if you will): use frozen diced hash browns! Put them for a few minutes in the air fryer to thaw them somewhat and then spray with cooking spray and sprinkle in about half the seasonings—toss a few times and repeat spray and the rest of the seasonings.
Follow the rest of the recipe as written and it is AMAZING!

    1. Oh I love that you wrote “lower spoons”! I live with minimal spoons so I always try to find ways to “lower spoons”.

This is my favorite dish! Ready in 30 minutes. Very few ingredients. Smells great! I add onions and spinach.

My daughter was raving about this recipe the other day and told me I HAD to make it. I had cooked rosemary, garlic, mustard & lemon chicken to use up, so decided to use it in this! Got the thumbs up and no leftovers. That’s a fabulous rating in our house. I am not eating meat at the moment, but my cheesy garlic spuds were delicious with my steamed green veggies. Thank you.

I thought it was good but it definitely had a kick. the Buffalo wild wing sauce was too spicy for my husband and daughter. Will make again with different brand sauce

This one of my favorite go to meals if I don’t really want to cook. Its hearty, flavorful, quick ,easy and it’s even better the next day once that parm sauce soaks in. Reheats beautifully.Mmmm

My husband and I really enjoyed this even though I had to make my own sauce due to celiacs. I can’t wait to try it again but with Sweet Baby Ray’s Garlic Parmesan sauce and marinade 😋

I have made this recipe several times 10 out of 10 for sure!! I use the Kraft 5 Cheese Italian Blend instead of the Mozzarella. Sooo Yummy!! 😉

Very delicious, but just a warning: the bottled Garlic Parmesan sauce left the dish extremely oily. Plan on making again but with my own sauce.

  17. This is my oldest son’s Favorite recipe!! I make this for my kids.. they LOVE it.. I don’t ever make enough..and I’ve tripled the recipe. Used a different Parm sauce..but it’s still great. Gonna try some other recipes for sure!

One of our favorite recipes! We make it all the time and keep the ingredients on hand for an easy dinner. Tonight, I just didn’t feel like chopping potatoes, so I used a half a bag of tater tots in the air fryer. Just as good!
