  • 1 tsp each of paprika, onion powder, and Italian seasoning

  • BWW Garlic Parmesan sauce

  • 1 jar of Alfredo sauce

  • 1 16 oz box of pasta

  • 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella

    Ingredients for recipe

Make Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta

To make the garlic parmesan chicken pasta, start by getting out your crockpot and spraying it with cooking spray.

Add one pound of chicken breast to the crockpot and season that with salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning.

My family doesn’t think this is salty, but depending on the alfredo sauce you use if you want to omit the salt initially you can always season with salt to taste after the dish is cooked.

Seasoned Chicken in crockpot

Next, add minced garlic on top of the chicken.

Then I added just enough of the Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan sauce to the chicken to cover it. Spread the sauce out evenly over the chicken.

This sauce does have a bit of kick to it and kind of a strong flavor. I recommend starting with just enough to cover the chicken and you can always add more at the end!

Lastly, add one jar of Alfredo sauce to the crockpot.

Cook on low for about 4 hours, or until your chicken is fully cooked. In my crockpot the chicken cooks in about four hours, but all crockpots cook differently.

Check the chicken with an internal meat thermometer to make sure it reaches at least 165 degrees.

Crockpot chicken and Alfredo sauce

Once the chicken is cooked either shred or cube up the chicken. I prefer to take the chicken out of the crockpot and cut it into cubes, but either works!

Boil 16 oz of your favorite pasta according to the directions on the package.

Add the chicken back into the crockpot and add shredded Parmesan and shredded mozzarella cheese.

Cooked chicken, Alfredo, and cheese

Once the pasta has cooked, drain it, and add it to the crockpot. Give everything a good stir and it should be ready to eat!

Serve Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta

Once the cheese is melted, it’s time to eat! Top the pasta with dried parsley.

This garlic parmesan chicken pasta is good with garlic toast and any kind of veggie. We usually like roasted broccoli, green beans, or a salad.

Plated Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta

You will love this recipe because it’s easy to make, filling, and so delicious! Clean up is super easy since almost everything is made in the crockpot.

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.

Tips and Frequently Asked Questions

  • Always cook chicken until it reaches 165 degrees.

  • Use just enough of the garlic parmesan sauce to cover the chicken. You can always add more at the end if you think it needs it.

  • I don’t think this is salty, but if you want to cut down on the sodium leave out the salt when you season the chicken.

  • Freshly shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese melt better than pre-shredded.

  • Use 16 oz of your favorite pasta!

  • The Alfredo sauce can be added in the beginning of the recipe or at the end when you add the pasta. I’ve done it both ways and both will work. If you plan on cooking this longer than about 4 hours in your crockpot, I would recommend adding the Alfredo sauce at the end, so it doesn’t burn.

Notes

The Alfredo sauce can be added to the crockpot in the beginning with the chicken and cook on low for about 4 hours or it can be added at the end when you add the pasta to the crockpot. Both ways will work. If you are cooking this for longer than about 4 hours I would add the Alfredo sauce at the end, so it doesn't burn.

      1. I know you said to use enough of the garlic sauce to cover the chicken, but could you please give me an approximate actual measurement, like how many cups of the sauce? I’m not a good cook, and I need specifics! Also, what size jar of Alfredo sauce? Thanks!

I used about half the jar of the BW sauce and most of the jar of a 16 ounce Alfredo sauce. I didn’t have a full jar so I just went with it. lol. The BW sauce has a kick. I think a full jar would mellow it a bit. I was going to add Broccoli but had some sun dried tomatoes left over and some fresh spinach. Added those. Yummy!

          1. I wish I read this comment before I made it. I couldnt feed it to my toddler it was so spicy.

  1. Can I put the pasta in the crockpot to cook along with the chicken? Looking to save a pot to wash.

    1. You’ve probably already made this but, I just did. Added the dry uncooked pasta about two hours before serving on low.
I did make my own Alfredo and then just added enough chicken broth to cover the noodles.

I’m practically useless in the kitchen, but this was so easy even I could do it and it turned out great!

    1. What is BWW sauce? I’ve never heard of it. If it’s something I might not be able to find easily, is there something I can replace it with?

  3. Getting ready to make this but you don’t have what size jar of Alfredo sauce. Can you please let me know what size you used? Thank you!

I doubled the chicken, used a whole bottle of BWW sauce, 2 jars of Alfredo, doubled cheese, 24 oz. Pasta. It was incredible! I fed 6 adults, with plenty for lunches. Thanks!

HOLY SMOKES!!!!! Amazing and wish I had made it sooner! It has a tiny bit of a kick but it’s perfectly balanced with chicken to cream to cheese ratio! My picky husband approved!

  6. Hey Luke. Any reason why you couldn’t add everything in at the beginning? Instead of waiting for chicken to cook and then adding the rest of the ingredients in. Just curious – really wanting this to be a recipe that I can dump everything in before work!

  7. This looks delicious! What is BWW garlic parm sauce? I’m assuming a sauce that you cannot get in Canada which would be my luck lol

    1. Buffalo wild wings sauce but im sure any garlic parm sauce should be fine
We actually found one at Aldi’s that we absolutely loved but they don’t seem to carry it anymore!

    1. Um, just add less salt or try a different Garlic Parm sauce. The recipe is gold, but change it up a smidge to fit your tastebuds.

WOW!! Thank you for this recipe! This dish is fantastic, even my very picky 10 yr old asked for seconds. It’s now a weekly requirement.

  9. 5 stars
Absolutely delicious!!! I need my one pot wonders to have vegetables so I added onions, green beans, and baby spinach but this dish would have been perfectly delicious even without the additions.

I Added 1 sliced onion at the start, 12oz frozen green beans 1 hour before completion, and folded in 6oz fresh baby spinach at the end. Based on another comment, I waited until completion before adding salt & pepper and it needed both so I added to taste. Used half BBW bottle, the whole bottle of Roa’s roasted garlic, and 10oz tri-colored rotini pasta. I’ll for sure make this again. Thank you!

  10. 5 stars
This is so amazing!! Only one of my 5 children didn’t like this. It was so good. Definitely making this again.

I LOVE this recipe but warning for some kick/spice would’ve been good to know. I think it is the BWW Garlic Parm sauce but its hard to enjoy with this kick as someone sensitive to it
