Make Crockpot Parmesan Garlic Chicken Sandwiches

To start making this easy recipe, spray a crockpot with cooking spray and add the chicken, salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, Parmesan garlic sauce, minced garlic, and chicken broth.

For the sauce I like to add just enough to cover the chicken. You can always add more sauce later!

Chicken

Next, add the lid and cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Once chicken is cooked shred the chicken, add 1/2 a block of cream cheese, and about 1 cup of shredded Colby Jack cheese.

At this point you can add a little bit more of the Parmesan Garlic sauce if you want a stronger Parmesan Garlic taste.

Let this keep cooking on low until the cream cheese is melted and stir everything together well.

Cook the bacon in the oven at 400 degrees for about 20-25 minutes while the cream cheese is melting.

Serve Crockpot Parmesan Garlic Chicken Sandwiches

Once the bacon is cooked build sandwiches on toasted buns and top with the crispy bacon. I served these with some fries and steamed broccoli.

Tips and Frequently Asked Questions

  • This recipe can be made in the Crockpot cooking on low for about 4 to 6 hours. You just want to make sure the chicken comes to a temp of 165 degrees.
  • I like to top the sandwiches with bacon to keep it crispy, but you can also stir in crumbled bacon if you prefer.
  • I like to shred my own Colby Jack cheese for a better texture, but pre-shredded cheese will work as well.
  • My family enjoys these as sandwiches, but the chicken is also great for quesadillas or stuffed into a baked potato.
  • My favorite way to cook the bacon is on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper at 400 degrees for about 20-25 minutes.
  • I used some Brioche buns, but any of your favorite buns will work.

Notes

This recipe makes at least 6 sandwiches!
Parmesan Garlic sauce can have a strong flavor. I suggest going light on the sauce at first and adding more sauce if desired once the chicken is shredded. I usually just add enough of the sauce to cover the chicken.

  1. I wouldn’t make anything with this sauce again. Way too strong. Olive Garden signature sauce is way better for chicken. That being said I do like a lot of your recipes but you should stay away from this sauce.
