Breakfast Pigs in a Blanket
Ingredients
- 12 count Jimmy Dean fully cooked breakfast sausage links
- 6 Original Cinnamon Rolls (I used an 8 count of the Pillsbury brand)
How to Make Breakfast Pigs in a Blanket
To make this easy breakfast recipe, start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees.
I like to start by opening the package of cinnamon rolls. I used an 8 count of Pillsbury Original Cinnamon Rolls. You really only need 6 cinnamon rolls for the 12 sausage links, so I baked two cinnamon rolls as is.
Cut six cinnamon rolls in half with a knife. Use the side of the knife or your hands to smash or flatten the cinnamon roll half just a little bit. Wrap one sausage link up tightly in the cinnamon roll half. Be sure to press together the seam, so the dough doesn’t pop open while baking.
Continue these steps until all 12 sausage links are wrapped in cinnamon rolls. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and place the cinnamon roll wrapped sausages seam side down on the pan.
These little breakfast pigs in a blanket will bake at 375 degrees for about 14 minutes.
Serve
Once they are finished baking, remove from the oven and add the icing over the tops of the pigs in a blanket.
You can use a knife to smear the icing over the tops or put it in a piping bag if you want it to look nicer. If you don’t have a piping bag you can use a small zip lock bag. Just make a small cut on the corner of the bag and fill it with the icing.

My family loved these!! Going to make the McGriddle Bites next.
I add a little maple syrup to the icing before putting it on the rolls. Really good.
Yum! That’s a great idea!
