Crockpot Creamy Chicken Pasta

Crockpot Creamy Chicken Pasta is an easy and delicious dinner recipe! This is one of those easy dinners I make when I don’t feel like cooking, but I’ve got to feed the family. This one is so good for how easy it is to throw together.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder and Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 24 oz jar Marinara Sauce
  • 15 oz jar Alfredo Sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 16 oz pasta
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Dried parsley

Make Creamy Chicken Pasta

To make this easy dinner recipe start by spraying a crockpot with cooking spray. Add one pound of chicken breasts and season with salt, pepper, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.

Add 1 tbsp of minced garlic, a 15 oz jar of Alfredo sauce, and a 24 oz jar of Marinara sauce over the top of the chicken.

I have been loving the Rao’s brand Alfredo and Marinara sauce lately, but you can use any brand you like or already have in your pantry!

Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Once the chicken is fully cooked and reaches at least 165 degrees you can shred or cut up the chicken. I prefer to remove the chicken from the crockpot and cube it up with a knife.

Next, add the cut up chicken back to the crockpot and add one cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Stir the chicken and cheese well and put back on low while you boil the noodles.

Boil 16 oz of pasta according to the directions on the box. I like to use Cellentani noodles for this recipe, but you can use any pasta you have!

Once the pasta is cooked drain it and add it to the crockpot. Stir everything together well.

Serve the Creamy Chicken Pasta

To serve the pasta top it with some shredded Parmesan cheese and dried parsley. We had this with some bread sticks and a Caesar salad! This would also be good with some roasted broccoli or some green beans.

  1. Eight servings sounds like a lot of servings from 1 lb chicken breast. I guess that’s where the 1 lb of. Pasta comes in. Sounds like a delicious economical meal. My son in-law suggested this because it was easy to make, tasty and had lots of leftovers. How big should a serving be and how many carbs & calories? Thank you.

I’ve made this once and want to make it again, could I do this on high for 2-3 hours or is it recommended to stick to the low cooking setting?

I cook it for 3 hours on high & it turns out great! Another site with a similar recipe suggested you could do that.

I made this tonight for dinner and will definitely add this to our meal rotation! It was very simple to make and delicious. I was short on time so cooked it in the crockpot on high for a bit over 3 1/2 hours and the chicken was perfect! Thanks for sharing!

This man is single-handedly saving my sanity when it comes to cooking meals for my family. I never have any inspiration or motivation lol and every recipe of his that I’ve tried (including this one) is a 10/10. Easy to follow, easy to make, relatively inexpensive, and every member of my family loves it. Thanks Luke.

  6. Just made this on the stovetop using rotisserie chicken. I added the sauces and spices into a dutch oven, (instead of fresh garlic I used granulated garlic), brought it to a boil, then turned the heat down and let it simmer for about thirty minutes. I added the mozzarella and about half a cup of Parmesan cheese and let it melt in to the sauce, then added the chicken and pasta.
I’m not sure how it compares in taste to the crockpot method, (I’ll try it next time), but it was delicious and I’ll definitely make it again.

I make this on the stove top, I used ground chicken. Excellent recipe!
I used pecorino Romano instead of Parmesan because that is what I have. Family loves it!

  8. I have a family dinner coming up and would like to make this…there will be 13 of us…any problem doubling this recipe in the crockpot?
