Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Gnocchi
Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Gnocchi is quick and easy to make! My whole family enjoys this recipe. This recipe is similar to my viral chicken and potato crockpot meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp each of paprika, onion powder, and Italian seasoning
- 2 TBSP minced garlic
- Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Sauce (just enough to cover chicken)
- 15 oz jar of Alfredo Sauce
- 1 large handful fresh spinach
- 17.6 oz package of shelf stable gnocchi
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- Shredded Parmesan cheese for topping
Make Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Gnocchi
To make crockpot garlic parmesan chicken and gnocchi, start by spraying a crockpot with cooking spray.
Next, add the chicken breasts to the crockpot and season with 1/2 tsp of pepper, 1 tsp each of paprika, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
After adding the seasoning, add 1-2 tbsp of minced garlic, and top the chicken with some Garlic Parmesan sauce. I like to use the Buffalo Wild Wing’s brand, but there are also other brands you can find in just about any grocery store.
For the Garlic Parmesan Sauce, I like to just add enough to cover the chicken. This sauce can be spicy and have a strong flavor if too much is used. You can always add more later after everything has been cooked if you want a stronger garlic Parmesan flavor.
Lastly, add one 15 oz jar of your favorite alfredo sauce to the crockpot. I like the Rao’s brand alfredo sauce, but any brand should work. You could even make a homemade version if you’d rather not use the jarred stuff.
Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on low for 4-6 hours. In my crockpot chicken cooks in about 4 hours, but all crockpots cook differently. Always cook chicken until it reaches an internal temp of 165 degrees.
After the chicken is fully cooked remove the chicken from the crockpot and cut it into cubes. You could also shred the chicken if you prefer that. Add the chicken back to the crockpot.
Next, add a large handful of fresh spinach, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, and a package of gnocchi. I used a 17.6 oz package of shelf stable gnocchi. Stir everything together well and let cook for about 30-40 more minutes on low. It just needs to continue cooking until the gnocchi is tender.
Serve Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Gnocchi
Once the gnocchi is nice and tender it’s time to eat! I added a little bit of shredded Parmesan cheese to the top. I served this with garlic bread and a side salad! This easy dinner recipe was a hit with the whole family.

Just wanted to let you know when you go to print recipe the name of the recipe doesn’t come up, your recipes sound amazing and I can’t wait for the cooler weather.
Thanks, Karen
Can you use frozen gnocchi? It is the kind I always buy. The recipe sounds delicious.
I used frozen the first time I made it and shelf stable the second time I made it. I think I liked the shelf stable more but it’s definitely good with frozen too!
Hello, Neeat post. There’s a prlblem apong with you site in internet explorer, would test this?

Absolutely delish! My husband said it’s “restaurant worthy”!! We’ve made this for company and everyone loves it. Thank you for a great recipe!
Made this today, and I don’t know what went wrong. Maybe my crockpot runs hot, but after 4 hours my alfredo sauce hdd mostly burnt to the sides, leaving an odd puddle of what remained of the sauce and chicken fat. Perhaps it’s because I made my own alfredo, who knows. I’m going to try this again, but not using a crockpot. I’ll try cooking the chicken with another method and add it to the alfredo with the gnocchi and spinach in the pan on the stove. We’ll see!
Sorry to hear it didn’t work out for you! I could see homemade Alfredo not working the same as the jarred Alfredo, so that may have been why it didn’t work. Hope the stove version works for you!
My family and I love this recipe, and I have made it several times in the crockpot. We recently invested in a Ninja Foodi Deluxe 12-in-1. Is there any way to adapt this recipe for an Instapot to speed up the dinner rush process? Thanks!
I’m happy to hear that! I’m sure there is, but I don’t have an instapot, so I can’t give you specifics.
