Easy Crockpot Dip

This easy Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe has been on our appetizer rotation for years now! It’s easy, delicious, and always a hit at parties or potlucks! This recipe is perfect for game-day!

Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Dip is made with basic ingredients and while my favorite way to make it is in my slow cooker, it can also be made in a skillet on the stove, baked in your oven, or smoked on a smoker. I like making it in the crockpot because once the cheese is melted it can hang out on low and the cheese stays nice and melted!

Tips and Substitutions

  • Rotisserie chicken works well for this recipe.
  • Canned chicken can also be used in buffalo chicken dip. I recommend rinsing the canned chicken well before adding it to your slow cooker.

  • Cheddar, Colby Jack, Mozzarella, and Monterey Jack cheeses all work well in buffalo chicken dip!
  • If your dip gets too thick in the crockpot you can add a splash of milk or chicken broth.
  • Blue cheese dressing can be used in place of the ranch dressing, and you could even add some blue cheese crumbles to the top if you prefer that over ranch.
