Make Beef and Cheese Crunch Wraps
Heat a griddle over medium heat. Cook 1 lb of ground beef with a chopped onion.
Next, season the beef and onions with taco seasoning. I like making my own blend of taco seasoning using salt, pepper, cumin, dried cilantro, chili powder, and cayenne pepper.
Once the beef is fully cooked drain any extra grease and add 1 tbsp minced garlic. Stir the beef and garlic together.
After the beef is fully cooked, lay out a large burrito size tortilla. I like using the biggest tortillas I can find at Walmart. I usually use the Mission Extra Grande burritos size tortillas.
Add some chipotle sauce and shredded cheddar cheese on top of the tortilla.
I like using the Subway Baja Chipotle Sauce, but you can use any chipotle sauce you like. Taco Bell also makes a bottled version that is good, too.
Next, add a scoop of the ground beef and put a tostada on top.
Add sour cream, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes on top of the tostada.
Fold the sides up tightly and put it on the griddle seam side down over low heat.
Cook on low heat until both sides are golden brown.
Repeat these steps to make all of the Crunch Wraps. This recipe made 4 large Crunch Wraps.
Serve Beef and Cheese Crunch Wraps
Once all of the Crunch Wraps are golden brown, it’s time to eat! Serve with taco sauce and enjoy!
Tips and Frequently Asked Questions
- You could use one pound of ground beef or one pound of cubed up chicken for this Crunch Wrap recipe.
- You could use a tostada or any flavor of Doritos for the crunch factor on these.
- I prefer shredded cheddar cheese, but you could use nacho cheese instead to make it even more like Taco Bell’s version.
- You can use a taco seasoning packet in place of the seasonings I use, but we prefer this blend to the taco packet.
- If you don’t have a griddle you can make these inside on the stove using a couple of skillets.
- Make sure to buy the Extra Grande Burrito sized tortillas. These over sized tortillas make it easier to fold up and you don’t have to add an extra tortilla to the top.

Whole family loves them. Simple to make. Thanks.
Any tips for keeping it from falling apart when folding the sides up. Not sure if the burrito size tortillas were big enough 🤔 or if it was user error
Otherwise great recipe
It’s the size of the tortillas. I’ve made these multiple times. The couple times I tried to use tortillas I had on-hand, they were smaller and always tore. When they’re oversized, it’s not a problem.
