Fresh Pico de Gallo
Fresh Pico de Gallo is so easy to make at home! This has become one of our favorite things to make to pair with meals on Taco Tuesday. Pico de Gallo is easy to make it just takes some patience to chop up all of the ingredients.
Ingredients
- 3-4 tomatoes, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 large jalapeños, diced
- 1/2 a bunch of cilantro
- 2 limes, squeezed
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder
Make Pico de Gallo
To make Pico de Gallo, start by washing all produce.
Chop the tomatoes, onion, and jalapeño into small pieces. It helps to try your best to chop everything into about the same size.
If you have a vegetable chopper this may be easier, but I usually just use a sharp knife.
Add the chopped tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños a bowl.
Chop 1/2 a bunch of cilantro and add that to the bowl. Season to taste with a little bit of salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Squeeze the juice of two limes into the mixture. Sometimes it also helps to roll the limes around on the counter before cutting them in half.
Stir everything together well to make sure all ingredients are well incorporated.
Refrigerate until ready to eat! I feel like putting it in the refrigerator for a little bit helps all of the flavors really come together.
