Make One Pan Cheesy Kielbasa Pasta
To make this easy weeknight dinner, start by chopping one onion and slicing one package of Kielbasa or smoked sausage.
Next, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Brown the sliced kielbasa with a chopped onion. Browning the kielbasa gives the meal a great smokey flavor!
Once your kielbasa is browned, add the minced garlic, uncooked pasta, beef broth, and the can of tomato sauce to the skillet.
The great thing about this recipe is that the pasta goes in the skillet uncooked and will cook in the broth.

Season with pepper, paprika, oregano, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Stir everything together well.
Bring the whole skillet to a quick boil and then turn the heat down to medium-low.
Be sure the Kielbasa pasta is bubbling well before turning the heat down! Cover with a lid and cook for about 12-15 minutes.
Once the pasta is cooked add the shredded cheese and milk. Stir everything together well.

Serve Kielbasa Pasta
Once the cheese has melted, it’s time to eat! Top the skillet with some dried parsley to give the kids something to talk about at the dinner table!
I like serving one pan pasta recipes with some kind of vegetable on the side.

There’s something so nostalgic about making a one pan pasta and serving it with butter bread!
Any vegetable your family likes would make a great side dish! You also can’t go wrong with salad and bread.
Store any leftovers in an air tight container in the refrigerator. The leftovers reheat well for an easy lunch the next day.
You will love this recipe because it’s made in one pan, a quick 30-minute dinner, and it’s kid approved! My kids love cheesy kielbasa pasta.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the pasta get cooked first?
No, the pasta goes right in the skillet uncooked. That is the great thing about this recipe! It cooks perfectly in the beef broth and tomato sauce making it an easy one pan dinner.
What sausage should I use in this recipe?
Kielbasa, smoked sausage, or any variation of those will work in this recipe! You can use beef, pork, or even turkey sausage depending on what your family prefers.
How do I store and reheat leftovers?
Store any leftovers in an air tight container in the refrigerator. You can microwave leftovers, but I’ve found that the best way to warm up these one pan pasta recipes is back on the stove in a pot over medium heat. Add a splash of milk and stir until the pasta is warm and back to a creamy, cheesy consistency.
Can I make this a spicy Kielbasa Pasta?
Yes, you could easily make this dish spicy by adding some red pepper flakes or using a spicier smoked sausage. For example, Andouille smoked sausage has more of a spicy flavor than normal beef or pork kielbasa.
What vegetables can I add?
Chopped Bell pepper or spinach would be a great addition to the pasta. I would add chopped peppers with the onions at the beginning of the recipe. If adding spinach you could stir it in at the end with the milk and cheese.
Can I use a different pasta shape?
Yes, you can really use any pasta you have in your pantry. I like using rotini, shells, or elbow macaroni for recipes like this one.
What should I serve with Kielbasa Pasta?
I like serving one pan pasta meals with a vegetable. Green beans, roasted broccoli, or salad would all be good options. You could also serve this with some butter bread or a roll.
