Onion Ring Cheese Burger Sliders
These Onion Ring Cheeseburger Sliders are an easy weeknight dinner that my family loves. These are kid approved and they only take about 30 minutes to make. My family loves to do a different slider recipe each week and this is one of our favorite dinners to make with a pound of ground beef.

Prepping the Onion Ring Cheeseburger Sliders
This is an easy weeknight dinner that doesn’t require a lot of prep work. Just dice up an onion and gather the ingredients listed above.
If you are making homemade burger sauce mix together 1/2 cup of mayo, with 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/8 cup mustard, and a tablespoon of relish. Store bought burger sauce will also work fine if you’d rather use that.
Making the Onion Ring Cheeseburger Sliders
First, place a bag of frozen onion rings into your air fryer or oven following the directions on the package. Next, get your skillet over medium high heat and add in the ground beef, diced onion, and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
While the beef finishes cooking slice open a package of King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls keeping your knuckles on the counter for an even cut.
To assemble the sliders place a layer of American cheese on the bottom of the sliders. Stir a Tablespoon of minced garlic into your beef mixture, drain any excess fat and pile it on top of the American cheese.
Drizzle your desired amount of burger sauce over the beef mixture, and sprinkle some shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
Then just place one of your crispy onion rings on top of each slider and add the top buns.
Brush the top of the sliders with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds over the top before baking.
These will bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes. You just need to bake them long enough to get the cheese melted!
Serving the Onion Ring Cheeseburger Sliders
Once the cheese is melted these are ready to serve hot! We like to have these with fries or some of the extra onion rings that are leftover along with some type of veggie. I also like to serve them with a little extra burger sauce for dipping.

Tips and Frequently Asked Questions
- To get an even cut on your slider rolls it works best to keep your knuckles on the counter as you cut them with a bread knife.
- I like to use the onion rings made with diced onions so that you don’t pull out the whole onion on the first bite. The brand I used was Best Choice, but any smaller frozen onion rings would work.
- I like to use American cheese and freshly shredded cheddar for this recipe, but any cheese you like will be fine!
- If you don’t have onion rings these sliders are also really good without them.
- I like to make homemade burger sauce and keep it in the refrigerator for a few days, but store bought will also work.
