Asian Coleslaw
Asian Coleslaw is one of my favorite side dishes to serve with Smoked Ribs, Pulled Pork, or really any smoked meat.
This slaw is sweet and crunchy and seriously so good! We’ve had this as a side for all of our family get-togethers for as long as I can remember. Everyone always loves it!

Ingredients
- 16 oz bag of coleslaw
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of oil (I usually use olive oil or sesame oil)
- 1/4 cup of white vinegar or red wine vinegar
- 1 TBSP of soy sauce
- 1 TBSP minced garlic
- 1/4 cup of slivered almonds or dry roasted peanuts
- 4 chopped green onions
- Crunchy Chow Mein noodles
Make Asian Coleslaw
To start making this super easy recipe, stir together sugar, soy sauce, oil, minced garlic, and vinegar.
If you are worried about the amount of sugar you can definitely use a little bit less. I’ve used 1/3 cup and it was still good.
In a different bowl add the bag of coleslaw, almonds or peanuts, chopped green onions, and chow Mein noodles. You can use as many Chow Mein noodles as you’d like! I don’t ever actually measure those.
Lastly, pour the dressing over the slaw and mix everything together well.
Serve Asian Coleslaw
Once everything is mixed together, it’s time to eat! I served this slaw with some smoked ribs, and cheesy corn dip!
This recipe is definitely best served right away. The longer it sits the cabbage and crunchy noodles will start to absorb the liquid. The leftovers still taste good, but it will be soggy.
You can prep the ingredients ahead of time and combine them right before serving.
