BBQ Chicken Sheet Pan Meal

jump to recipe

Sheet Pan meals are easy to make and always go over well with my family! This BBQ Chicken version was definitely a hit!

I used chicken tenders, baby potatoes, and asparagus, but the best thing about Sheet Pan meals is that you can switch up ingredients based on what you have or what your family likes!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • BBQ sauce
  • Asparagus
  • 24 oz baby potatoes
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • Olive oil
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped green onions

Make BBQ Chicken Sheet Pan Meal

To start making this easy recipe, preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a sheet pan with Aluminum Foil or Parchment paper for easy clean up.

Wash potatoes and cut them into quarters. Boil a pot of water and add 1 tbsp of baking soda (slowly so it doesn’t boil over). Add the potatoes to the boiling water. Boil for about 8 minutes or until the potatoes are almost fork tender. Drain potatoes.

Seasoned Potatoes

Next, add the potatoes to a bowl and season with a little bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss potatoes until well coated.

Place the potatoes on the sheet pan.

Add washed/cut asparagus to the bowl and season with a little bit more of the same seasonings. Place the asparagus on the sheet pan.

Seasoned Chicken

Finally, season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add some BBQ sauce and make sure chicken is well coated. I used Buffalo Wild Wings Honey BBQ sauce, but you can use your favorite brand.

Add the saucy chicken to the sheet pan. Bake at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes.

Once the potatoes and chicken are cooked, add some shredded cheddar cheese to the potatoes.  Brush a little bit more BBQ sauce over the chicken and broil for just a few minutes.

Serve BBQ Chicken Sheet Pan

Once the cheese is melted on the potatoes, it’s time to eat! I like to also top the cheesy potatoes with some chopped green onions and serve with some ranch dressing for dipping.
