Easy Italian Sliders
These Italian Sliders are easy to make and so good! They are perfect for an easy dinner or appetizer for all of the Holiday parties!
I like making these with provolone cheese, salami, pepperoni, ham, mozzarella cheese, red onions, and banana peppers. They are so good served with marinara sauce for dipping!

Ingredients
- 12 count King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
- Provolone cheese
- Pepperoni
- Salami
- Ham
- 1/2 cup banana pepper rings
- 1/2 a red onion, sliced
- Mozzarella cheese slices
- 4 TBSP of butter
- 1/2 each tsp Italian season and garlic powder
- Parmesan cheese
- Marinara (for dipping)
Make Italian Sliders
To start making the sliders, slice the King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls in half and place the bottom of the rolls on a greased sheet pan.
Layer provolone cheese, pepperoni, salami, and ham. You can really use as much or as little meat as you’d like on these. My family likes one layer of pepperoni and salami and two layers of ham.
Add about 1/2 cup of banana pepper rings and half of a sliced red onion to the sliders.
If you don’t like banana peppers, you could use sliced pepperoncini instead. Those usually have more heat and would add a nice spice to the sliders. Since my family was eating these we went with the mild banana pepper rings.
Top with 6 slices of mozzarella cheese and place the tops of the rolls on the sliders.
If you are prepping this recipe ahead of time for a Holiday party or get-together, I’d suggest waiting to brush the sliders with the butter mixture until right before baking them. This will ensure the sliders don’t get soggy.
Mix together 4 tbsp of melted butter with 1/2 tsp each of Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Brush the butter mixture all over the tops of the rolls.
Bake the sliders in the oven at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Serve Italian Sliders
Once the cheese is melted and the tops are nice and brown, it’s time to eat! Top the sliders with Parmesan cheese and dip in marinara. Enjoy!
I served the sliders with a salad, but they would also be good with homemade air fryer potato wedges, fries, or a roasted veggie.
Tips and Frequently Asked Questions
- I used about 9 slices each of pepperoni, salami, and ham when making the sliders, but you can really layer as much meat and cheese on these as you’d like!
- I used mild banana pepper rings, but you could use sliced pepperoncini if you wanted to add some heat to the sliders.
- I kept the butter/seasoning mixture simple with just garlic powder and Italian seasoning, but you could also add 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes to add some spice to the sliders.
- These sliders are easy to assemble ahead of time and then bake for a party or get-together. I recommend making the sliders and then waiting to top them with the butter mixture right before baking them, so the rolls don’t get soggy.
- They are great hot right out of the oven, but still good as they come to room temperature.
- Refrigerate any leftovers and reheat in the oven or air fryer just until they are warm.

Delicious! I served them with Italian dressing to dip in (Olive Garden brand) and they were a big hit!
Happy to hear that!
