Make Snickers Salad Poke Cake
To start making this delicious poke cake, mix up and bake the vanilla cake mix following the directions on the box.
I baked my cake in a greased 9X13 glass baking dish.
I used a French Vanilla cake mix, but any vanilla or even yellow cake mix will work for this recipe.
Once the cake is baked, let the cake cool for about 10 minutes.
Next, use the end of a spoon to poke holes all over the cake. Drizzle caramel syrup over the cake really concentrating on the holes. You can use as much caramel as youโd like.
Next, mix up the snickers pudding mix with milk following the directions on the box. Pour the pudding mix over the cake before it has fully thickened.
Place the cake in the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours.
I used the Snickers pudding mix, but you could use chocolate or even a vanilla pudding mix instead.
Once the cake has chilled, top with 8 oz of cool whip. Drizzle more caramel syrup over the top of the cool whip.
Top with the cake with chopped snickers. I used 12 of the fun size Snickers chopped into small bite size pieces.
For the final step, chop a couple of Granny Smith apples into small bite sized pieces.
Add the chopped apples to a bowl and add about 1 tbsp of lemon juice. Stir well.
The lemon juice can be from a bottle or squeezed from a fresh lemon. The lemon juice will help keep the apples from quickly turning brown.
Add the chopped apples to the top of the cake using a slotted spoon to drain any of the extra lemon juice.
Serve Snickers Salad Poke Cake
Once you have topped the cake with caramel, the Snickers, and apples it’s time to eat!
The lemon juice on the apples kept them from turning brown for several hours to one day, but you could always wait to top the cake with the apples until right before serving. Enjoy!
