Strawberry Banana Poke Cake
This Strawberry Banana Poke Cake is easy to make and so good! This recipe is going to be on repeat all summer long at my house!
Poke Cakes are one of my favorite desserts and this one didn’t disappoint.

Ingredients
- Strawberry Cake Mix + ingredients needed to make cake
- 4 cups of milk
- 2 boxes instant banana cream pudding mix
- 1 tub of cool whip
- 2 heaping cups vanilla wafers
- 6-8 Strawberries
- 1 banana
Make Strawberry Banana Poke Cake
First, mix together and bake a Strawberry Cake Mix in a 9×13 baking dish following the directions on the box.
Once the cake is baked, use a small spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
Next, mix together the instant banana cream pudding mix and 4 cups of milk following directions on the packaging.
Pour the pudding mix over the cake before it completely thickens.
Smooth out the top of the cake/pudding, cover, and let chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Serve Strawberry Banana Poke Cake
Once the cake has chilled, spread whip topping over the cake. Top with about 2 cups of crushed vanilla wafers, a sliced banana, and cut up strawberries. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Tips and Frequently Asked Questions
- Any boxed Strawberry Cake mix should work for this recipe.
- I used 1 banana and about 6-8 strawberries, but you can really use as much or as little fruit on top of the cake as you’d like!
- Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
- This dessert is best served right away or within an hour or two of topping it as the bananas will start to slightly turn brown the longer it sits.
